House Concert: Eric Hofbauer Quintet

We’re pleased to welcome back the Eric Hofbauer Quintet. They’ll be celebrating their new recording of Eric’s jazz arrangements of Charles Ives compositions. Joining guitarist/composer/bandleader Hofbauer are: Todd Brunel, clarinet and bass clarinet; Junko Fujiwara, cello; Curt Newton, trumpet; and Jerry Sabatini on drums. This contemporary chamber ensemble is equally accomplished in the worlds of classical and jazz. Last year at the Bing the quintet amazed the audience with a thrilling performance of Eric’s jazz arrangement of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring.
Doors open at 7:30. Refreshments available.
