Summer 2015 Calendar
The Bing Arts Center presents an array of arts-related and creative community events including Musical, Spoken Word, and small Theatrical Performances. Art-house and other Indie films are screened monthly along with small festivals and special film events. Exhibitions of work by local and regional artists are also regularly scheduled.

Featuring Magpie, Charlie King, and George Mann.
This is a two-set concert and salute to Joe Hill and his songs, with a narrative thread running through the music, covering his life and focusing on his trial and execution in 1915. Part of a 10-stop tour of the Northeast, the effort is coordinated with the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW).

First Friday: Positive Open Mic

Celebrate summer with the sweet/hot sounds of the Jeremy Turgeon Quartet! JTQ consists of trumpeter Jeremy Turgeon, Jarreau Pitts on keys, bassist Forest Loomis-Dulong, and drummer Ashdon Reynolds. Their special guest this month is recent Julliard grad, saxophonist Braxton Cook. He received numerous accolades in high school and college and has shared the stage with Wynton Marsalis, Jon Batiste and Christian Scott.
$10. $5 for students.

KSG is a dynamic, high energy modern Gospel ensemble with their own unique flavor. The small choir and band explore a variety of musical territory from “straight ahead” Jazz, Funk, Rock, Smooth, and Latin with a frequent nod to their traditional church roots.
